Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We collect the information we need to give you a quote, set up and deliver your service, bill you, and answer your questions. We use a handful of trusted service providers to do that, and we use analytics tools to understand how people use this site. We do not sell your personal information for money. Details are below.

Information We Collect

What we collect depends on what you do on the site:

• Getting a quote. The ZIP code and service selections you enter (such as number of dogs, yard size, how often you want service, and when the yard was last cleaned). To see your price you also enter a mobile phone number. We save your phone number, ZIP code, and quote selections as soon as you do, and we save your name as you type it into the signup form — even if you decide not to finish signing up.
• Signing up for service. Your name, service address, phone number, email address, dog name(s), whether a dog is aggressive or potentially dangerous, gate and access details, where your outdoor trash bin is, how you would like to be notified about service, any notes you choose to share, and the fact that you accepted our Service Agreement.
• Paying. You enter card details into a secure payment form provided by our payment provider (Stripe). See “Payment Information” below.
• Contacting us. If you use our contact form, request a custom quote, or request a commercial property walkthrough, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, phone number, email address, property information, and your message.
• Checking a ZIP code we don't serve yet. We record the ZIP code you searched, and your email address if you choose to join the waitlist.
• Automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and approximate location.

How We Use Information

• To calculate your quote and check whether we serve your area.
• To set up your account, schedule and perform service, send service notifications, and handle billing.
• To respond to your messages, custom quote requests, waitlist signups, and commercial inquiries.
• To follow up about a quote you started, if you chose to receive text messages from us (see “Text Messages”).
• To understand demand in areas we don't serve yet.
• To understand how the site is used and to measure and improve our website and advertising (see “Cookies & Analytics”).
• To keep our business records and meet legal obligations.

Payment Information

Cornbelt Scoops does not see or store your full card number. Card details are entered into a secure form provided by Stripe, which turns them into a secure token. We pass that token to our customer and service management platform so your card can be kept on file for billing. Payment providers have their own privacy practices, and they may collect device and fraud-prevention information when you use their form.

Service Providers We Use

We share information with companies that help us run the business, and only as needed for what they do for us:

• Sweep&Go — customer, scheduling, service-notification, and billing management. Your signup information is sent here.
• Stripe — payment card processing.
• Supabase — database and storage. We use it to keep quote and lead information (such as your phone number, ZIP code, quote selections, and name), and records of contact forms, custom quote requests, commercial inquiries, and waitlist signups.
• Resend — email delivery. We use it to receive notifications of the messages and requests you send us through our forms.
• SimpleTexting — a messaging provider we use to send and manage text messages. If you opt in to marketing texts, your mobile number may be provided to it so we can message you. We use it only to send and manage our own messages.
• Netlify — website hosting.
• Google (Google Analytics 4) and Meta (Meta Pixel) — website analytics and advertising measurement. See the next section.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our customers, our team, or our business. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Cookies & Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to collect usage information, such as the pages you view, how you move through the site, your device, browser, IP address, and approximate location. We use them to understand how the site is performing and to measure and improve our advertising.

We also record a few key actions as events — for example, starting a quote, completing a signup, or submitting a commercial inquiry. These events describe the action, not the details you type into our forms. Google and Meta may combine the information they collect with other information they already have, under their own privacy policies.

You can limit this tracking by adjusting your browser's cookie settings, using a content or tracker blocker, using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or changing your ad preferences with Google and Meta. The site will still work if you do.

Text Messages

Marketing texts are optional. When you enter your mobile phone number to see your price, you can check a box to receive recurring promotional text messages from Cornbelt Scoops. If you check it, we collect your mobile phone number and your SMS consent, and we may use them to send promotional texts such as quote reminders, route openings, special offers, and related marketing follow-up. These messages may be sent using automated technology. Consent is not required to purchase anything.

• What we record. Our SMS consent records may include the fact that you consented and the time you did.
• Opting out. Reply STOP to any marketing text to opt out, or contact us and we will opt you out. After that we will not send further marketing texts unless you opt in again.
• Help. Reply HELP to a text for help, or contact us.
• Costs. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Mobile opt-in information and SMS consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Our messaging provider (listed above) handles it only to send and manage our texts. See also our Terms & Conditions for the SMS Messaging Terms.

Service messages are separate. If you sign up for service, you choose how you would like to be notified about it (text, email, or phone call). Service notifications — such as a heads-up before we arrive — are not marketing, so opting out of marketing texts does not turn them off. To change how we notify you about service, contact us.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep information for as long as we reasonably need it to provide service, follow up on quote and contact requests, keep business and billing records, and meet legal obligations. How long that is depends on the type of information, and we do not have one fixed retention period for everything. If you would like us to delete or correct information about you, contact us and we will review your request. We may need to keep certain records, for example billing records, even after a deletion request.

Security

We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

This site is intended for adults who are arranging pet waste removal service. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new service provider or change how we handle information. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
